BIG Announcements – Ted Conrad on The BBQ Central Show!
This past Tuesday, FireBoard Founder/CEO was a featured guest on The BBQ Central Show. Ted is often asked on the show to discuss all things FireBoard and he regularly uses this platform to introduce new FireBoard products.
This appearance was no exception to that!
The discussion started off with highlights and challenges of 2025. FireBoard has held a steady place in the market and revenue was slightly up this past year. Ted talked about how 2025 was a bit of a rebuilding year for the company. Although FireBoard didn’t officially launch any new products this year, the challenges of Pulse manufacturing and tariffs held the company back a bit.
Ted talked about how, as with many manufacturers in the BBQ space, FireBoard experienced a big Covid boost 5 years ago. FireBoard was able to weather the post-Covid slump by launching new products that helped retain some of that momentum.
The BBQ Central Show host, Greg Rempe, asked Ted about the OEM manufacturing side of FireBoard. That discussion led into Ted announcing that FireBoard is releasing a new product very soon! FireBoard is manufacturing a product to replace the control board assemblies in many of the most popular pellet grills! This allows the purchaser to retrofit their older or non-working pellet grills with FireBoard technology! Ted also talked about our previously introduced product, a FireBoard controller for the Masterbuilt gravity feed charcoal smoker/grill.
The discussion evolved with Greg asking about our product future. Ted explained that our product development is set for the next 12-18 months but we are looking beyond that on the white board. Greg, himself a FireBoard 2 Drive and Blower user, remarked how he feels we are on the bleeding edge of BBQ/Cooking and technology.
The show concluded with talking about AI and the future of BBQ in general. In response to a discussion about how the hands-on approach is still best for BBQ, Ted shared his vision for FireBoard.
“I want to make really smart products to solve simple problems. The products have to stay relatively simple and our goal is to make them work extremely well.”
