I own 3 FireBoard temp control Drive 2 systems w fans, a couple dozens various probes, 2 Pulse wireless thermometers & a Spark instant read thermometer.
I believe this fact expresses my total satisfaction with FireBoard products.
Additionally, over the past decade I’ve had warranty issues twice which were resolved quickly w replacement units. This I’m also very happy with their customer support. No complaints.
Red color stays nice and consistent through several wash cycles so far 🙂
I have been very pleased with my competition probe. It is very responsive, and I like that it is a bit smaller than the standard probe. I am a backyard griller so it is easier to use.
The app is a little quirky. I use it maybe twice a month, mostly once a month. I’ve tried other probes and like this one the best so far.
I have 2 pulse probes and absolutely love them. No more cables and they connect to my Yoder and Fireboard app. However (one of) the charging lights is ridiculous. The charging light for the charger itself is red when charging and green when charged. This is good. But the charging light for the probe is solid red when charging and NOT BLINKING when it is charged. Someone must be playing a joke! But I don’t get the funny here. That’s just wrong. Still love the thing though.
I use the Pulse for all of my grilling but it is especially handy for tracking a rotisserie cook where using a wired probe isn’t possible.
Cannot say enough good things about my Fireboard 2 Pro. The temperatures are accurate, and the fan control is on point. I'm cooking my first brisket with this thing right now.
Got this for my dad for Father's Day. He really likes it already. Pretty simple to use and does the job great. The many probes made cooking everyone's choice a breeze.

I love the short probes, because they can monitor smaller spaces such as between ribs on the rack. They are small enough to feel almost surgical. I'll often use them in combination with regular probes to get a full picture of the cook of something like a turkey in the smoker.
This is a second order of these probes for me.
Thanks for being the best rig on the market. I've tried most (and you know the brands) and only use Fireboard now.
I purchased this package to use on Kamado grill. I just purchased the grill and had not used it all without the FireBoard 2 Drive. I love the fact that you can set up multiple programs based on time, temperature, or both.
Once you start a program it is extremely easy and accurate. You just set it and forget it until it is done.
The included fan panel fit my Kamado Joe Classic 2 perfectly when installed sideways. Just a slight opening in the top cap is all that is needed. I also listened to others and set the fan speed to 30% and auto.

Worked really well. Dialed in on the target temperature precisely and held it there. Overshot a little because I had one of the vents open too far. Closed that down, and smooth sailing from then on.
I’ve had the opportunity to use it twice now and I’m very impressed over my previous thermometer. The ability to share the links with other people is actually a nice touch. For example, if you have somebody at your house, that is Monitoring the cook and you have to go travel for work because of an emergency, it makes it much easier to monitor. The temperatures are spot on accurate. I’m very impressed and would recommend this thermometer to anybody.
I am pleased enough with how it worked that I purchased two more to go with it, and they’re not cheap. I guess that’s as strong an endorsement as I could give them.
I have used several different probes out there on the market. They have all let me down it one way or anther. This is the is the best hands down! I've connected it to my WiFi 2 times in the last 2 years (only because I changed routers). This thing connects everytime! I can monitor it from anywhere and the ability to look back at my past cooks and see the trends, notes and photos is incredible. A - MAZE - ING. You'll never need another temp probe!
I've owned my fireboard 2 now for 4 years and I've added the fireboard spark and competition probes for the past 2 years. I love these thermometers. They have worked amazing for me and the app has been a great tool to track during my cooks and to use as a reference for future cooks. If you're an avid outdoor cook or even want to monitor the oven indoors. The fireboard is great and I would highly recommend it. I've been grilling and smoking meats for 20 years and this is the best setup I've ever used.
Long term Guru guy. After 13+ years of frustration, I finally switched to the Firebord suite.
After first cook it was evident i made the right choice.
This probe, once I un-mucked the threads on the probe port bushing, I was able to record the most stable and accurate temp I've have ever had. The only thing i would do is make available a version with a longer probe. This is for guys like me that have customs insulated grills and smokers. Stay tuned for more great cooks.
The new one is superior to the old one. I have put a stop valve in front of it so it won`t backfire with ash and heated air. The hole who was taked for the old one fits perfect for the new 1" ball adapter. The new model is superior to the old one. Great experience with the fireboard 2 drive bundle. Completed about four cooks so far. Great addition to my XL big green egg and am very pleased.
The app is super easy to use and very convenient. I added the S1G antenna to my unit and can review my cook from basically anywhere now, even while walking my dog around the block.
The fan takes a bit to get used to, but I am overall pleased with it. Very quiet, easy to connect, and easy to control in the app. I have found setting a max fan speed to be very helpful. It can shoot past desired temp if left wide open. But once you get it dialed in, it holds the temperature very nicely.
The included wired probes so far have been stellar. Nice long length on the cables and great temp readings throughout the cook. Also easy to clean which is a big deal. The storage pouches are a nice touch, though not required.
Finally, a probe you can use with ribs and be able to wrap without poking a hole.
