Method 3. Securing with Easy Mounting Plate (EMP) (separate purchase).
Follow the steps described in Method 3 for proper device installation. This will ensure the unit is mounted securely and functions as intended.
Pull the wiring harness and temperature probe wire through the hole of the EMP.
Attach the EMP to the smoker hopper using the same screws that secured the original controller.
Attach the green wire from the Pellet Drive to the smoker, securing it with one of these screws.
Secure the wiring harness to the Pellet Drive making sure it is fully seated (pushed in).
Attach the blue connector to the corresponding connector on the new Pellet Drive making sure it is fully seated.
Gently push the wires back into the hopper. Attach the Pellet Drive to the EMP using the screws provided in the EMP kit with a Phillips screwdriver making sure no wires are trapped under the gasket.
Installation is complete!
Plug in and power up!
