Method 1. Securing with Screws.
Follow the steps described in Method 1 for proper device installation. This will ensure the unit is mounted securely and functions as intended.

Push all of the wires back into the hopper assembly.

Using the template provided, find the best location for mounting the Pellet Drive. Choose a location that fully covers the hole left by the old controller and allows for easy passage of wires from the Pellet Drive into the hopper assembly. Tape the template in place at this location to mark where the pilot holes will be drilled.

Using a drill with the drill bit (provided), mark the 4 locations as noted on the template.

Remove the template and completely drill out the 4 marked locations for
mounting.

Pull the wiring harness and temperature probe wire back from the hopper assembly through the exposed hole. Secure wiring harness to Pellet Drive making sure it is fully seated (pushed in).

Attach the blue connector (provided) to corresponding connector on new Pellet Drive making sure it is fully seated.

Attach the green wire from the Pellet Drive to one of the original controller mounting points, securing it with the same screw that was originally used.

Gently push the wires back into the hopper.

Place the screws (provided) in the corners of the Pellet Drive.

Line up the Pellet Drive to the previously drilled holes.

Using a Phillips screwdriver, attach the Pellet Drive to the pellet smoker making sure no wires are trapped under the gasket of the Pellet Drive.
NOTE: Also make sure the rubber gasket surrounding the Pellet Drive isn’t folded over on itself or creased in any way. Fold screw plugs over the Pellet Drive and push into the screw holes to fully seal.

Install is complete!
