Commercial Cloud Usage

If you are planning on using our FireBoard Cloud Services for commercial use, please visit our Commercial Cloud page for more information.

Calibrated & NIST Certified Devices

We offer a calibration certificate that is NIST traceable for an extra charge. A third party laboratory conducts the calibration, which may add 2-4 weeks to the shipping date. Visit the calibration section of our Knowledge Base for more information.

Mounting the FireBoard Unit

Option 1: The FireBoard Case for the FBX11 is perfect for mounting. It comes with magnets already installed, a kick stand, and a strap. We are developing mounting options for the FBX2 models, including a magnetized base.

Option 2: The FBX11 device can be mounted onto a metal surface using the magnet sticker that is included only with commercial units.

Option 3: On the FBX11, there are two holes on the underside of the device, as part of the two cylindrical features at the top of the device case. These holes are provided to be used with 1/8” screws to attach other mounting hardware of your choosing.

Probe Placement and Installation

The temperature probes can be routed and placed into refrigerators, freezers, or ovens. In many cases, the probes can simply be cable-tied (cable-ties included) so it can remain stationary. Please note that cable-ties are not rated for high temperature.

The probes are fitted with M10 threading, which can be used with an M10 nut and a 7/16” hole to tighten down the probe on a L-bracket (not included).

Routing Probe Cables to the Unit

In most cases, the probe cable can be routed to the corner of doors and can usually be fitted tightly to minimize any air loss around seals on the door. The included wire hangers can be used to help route the cable.

Most refrigeration unit walls are a thin sheet metal and insulation sandwich, which is easy to route through using a 1/2” hole. This hole can be sealed with silicone found at any hardware store. FireBoard Labs is not responsible for any damage to user equipment.
