Does everything as advertised. Holds temps solid, the fan on/off logic is so far working well. Has all the little things like lid hold, etc that you would want. Using the fan to start the fire up quickly is an added bonus. Just set the fan speed to 75 or 100 and it ramps up in like 5 to 10 minutes.
Everything from the first email to customer services to delivery was fantastic. The cable does exactly what it is supposed to do - worked perfectly with my FireBoard 2.0 and the fan!
Ive used the Fireboard 2 Drive for several years now. The probes do not last much more than a year when used about 5-10 times a year. I’ve purchased the competition probes as well with the same result. The ambient probe is also prone to failure. For about the past year I’ve been using Thermoworks and Chef IQ. These probes do not seem to fail like Fireboards do. I think someone needs to go back to the drawing board. Probes are way too expensive to fail this rapidly.
The fireboard works great after I got the cable that was needed for the masterbuilt gravity feed 800. It would have been great f there would be verbiage that states that the blower won't mount on the MB. Ater a few emails and found out it won't work then I had to wait another week to get the cable.
I haven't had the chance to use my new fireboard bundle. I will be using it next weekend at the https://www.discovernwbbq.com/events/get-fired-up-for-the-7th-annual-hudson-bay-heritage-days-bbq-cookoff-in-dupont-wa-listing-115-7886.aspx. I hope to do a video and share it with the fireboard staff and community. Thanks!
