The King of all Thermometers – The Instant Read!
Of all the tools that one can use in BBQ, or even cooking in general, few are more important than the instant-read thermometer. This one tool has the power to turn an average pitmaster or chef into a good one. Knowing the internal temperature of food is a key to unlocking the flavor and texture the food demands while keeping the product safe to eat.

Local Kansas City artisan and restaurateur, Stretch, was introduced to the power of the Spark at a recent BBQ competition. He had been using a competitor’s product until recently. The Spark not only provides industry-leading speed and accuracy from its Type-K thermocouple probe, but several other features as well.
The Spark has a single port to allow for leave-in probe cooking. This is a great way to be introduced to the FireBoard ecosystem. When connected to a WiFi network, the Spark allows users to remotely monitor pit temperature, food temperature or anything else they want to track. And, all this data is collected and stored in the cloud. A fully charged battery can easily handle an overnight cooking session.

And speaking of the battery and charging, the Spark is charged through the on-board USB-C connection. The battery provides 12 months of normal use in instant read situations and a few long term cooks.
Additional features include, Bluetooth connectivity, IP66 waterproof designation, internal magnets for easy storage and SyncMode which integrates with the FireBoard 2 for convenient real-time temperature viewing.
