The Beacon Saved the Bacon
Foodservice, restaurants and grocery stores have one thing in common. They store costly proteins in freezers or coolers in preparation for the consumer. The cost is not only in the price paid for the product, but also in the cost of potential lost sales should the freezer or cooler go down. As the industry largely understands, it’s not if the equipment will fail, it’s when.
So, how do you protect your investment when you know that losing it is a very real possibility,
Fireboard Beacon

Just down the street from FireBoard HQ is local meat market, Local Pig. They provide locally raised and harvested products to the Kansas City community. They cook and serve these meats at their restaurant next door, Pigwich. With a lot of proteins in cold storage, they rely on the FireBoard Beacon to track the temperature data and alert them when something is out of range.
Local Pig recently had an issue when equipment failed during a weather event. The FireBoard Beacon issued an alert and they were able to address the situation within minutes and save the product. Otherwise, it would have potentially been hours and the product may have fallen out of food safe conditions.
